School Goals

Academic Goal: Pennbrook will review the 2021-2022 2075 math placement data and provide teachers with various interventions and strategies to support Black and Multiracial students’ movement out of the lower level math track for the 2022-2023 school year from a baseline of twelve students.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Goal: In order to meet the mental health needs of our students we will implement monthly programming to include SEL lessons and assemblies. We will offer 10 or more opportunities for students to engage during the 2021-2022 school year.

Climate/Equity Goal: To improve the climate and culture of Pennbrook by using a student survey to implement programming that will address the areas of improvement. A survey will be administered twice a year, once for the baseline data and once to measure progress. We will achieve a 10% increase on the average scores for both climate and culture by May 2021. The culture baseline is 75% and the climate baseline is 65%.

Our first survey question “My teachers encourage me to express my culture in the classroom” scored an average of 45.5%; this was an outlier in that data. Therefore, we want to see an improvement in student responses from a baseline of 45.5% to 70% of students saying that their teachers encourage them to express their culture in the classroom.

Parent Engagement Goal: Pennbrook will increase parent/family engagement by offering families 10 opportunities to participate in home/school connection activities from a baseline of one over the 2021-2022 school year.
